Jenn Sipe graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She then attended Radford University, where she earned her master’s degree in counseling and human development with a concentration in clinical mental health counseling in 2017. It was at Radford where she found her passion for career counseling. Here, Sipe taught career development courses as a graduate teaching fellow, counseled undergraduate students on academic and career related needs, and interned at Roanoke College’s Career Center.

Upon graduation, Sipe moved to North Carolina, where she began her career at Central Carolina Community College as the student success advocate in TRiO Student Support Services, a program that serves low income, first-generation college students and students with disabilities. Here, she worked with students on their non-academic needs, such as career counseling, personal counseling and stress management.

Sipe joined the MJ-school’s staff in 2019 as the assistant director of career services. She works with both undergraduate and graduate students regarding their career-related needs. She provides support with resume, cover letter and LinkedIn critiques as well as internship and first job searches. She also plans student programs, such as networking trips with alumni in major markets, an alumni mentorship program, the Lookout Fellows program and more.
